The Gem Mantle

I am not sure what this line actually is graded, or what the name is. V8 seemed appropriate to me, although it is a very technical, specific move off of pretty miserable holds and a sketchy heel. Ballsy going for the lip after flipping the left hand. Gonna have to put in some work on the real Gem next after my finger is finished healing up! Also, unlikely this is V5, I assume that grade applies to the arete-specific variation. Edit 11/4/2012: I should probably repeat this from the lower, nasty start one of these days. Edit 11/18/2012: Final conclusion is that this a V5/8. There is much easier beta IF you're tall enough, although that method, bumping left hand all the way to the arete is less cool. ;-) Also, the sit start is really nasty at the moment as the bottom of the boulder is quite manky . . . I have little interest in repeating from here.
