Our team is a collective of passionate climbers, and many of us have a nomadic lifestyle that includes remote work, traveling for climbing, and other outdoor hobbies.
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated UI/UX designer for our app, someone who shares our passion and purpose to make climbing easier and support the development of climbing areas. As a backend developer, you will be a crucial part of building and maintaining the technical infrastructure for an app loved by hundreds of thousands of climbers.
You'll be in key role of creating the world's best climbing platform EVER!
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend systems and APIs for the app
- Ensure application performance, scalability, and security
- Collaborate with the frontend, UI/UX, and product teams to deliver seamless features
- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues as they arise
- Write clear, maintainable, and well-documented code
Requirements
- Proven experience with Ruby on Rails (3+ years preferred)
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and backend development principles
- Familiarity with MySQL or similar relational databases
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Heroku
- Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and application security best practices
- Passion for rock climbing and an understanding of the climbing community’s needs
