I think this is one of those ones where the original beta might've been appropriately hard, but easier betas were eventually found. My friends and I made very quick work of this and agreed that there are several V5's in the Slide alone that took much more work than The Ice Cave (e.g. Wild West).

Incredible problem, one of my favourite to date. The traverse into Sunspot is so much fun and gives Sunspot, already arguably a 3-star classic, a nice ol' pump factor. This whole boulder deserves to be its own thing and not just part of Wild West.

Fun opening moves to a cruxy last move to the lip. Not sure what the popular beta is, but ended up finding a right foot toe hook and reaching an intermediate under the lip statically. Never used the arete but not sure if that would make it any easier/harder.

A pumpy extension to the 3-star classic of Healing Arete. Honestly think the traverse moves take away from the enjoyment of it a little bit since it feels less pure, but it's still a fun endurance challenge added on top of normal Healing Arete.

Super fun compression problem. Very pumpy when you're in covid shape, haha.

Trickiest line on the boulder, but fun.

Most enjoyable line on Teen Titans imo

Difficult to locate the start holds according to the 27 Crags topo. Ended up just using the most logical holds low and near the arete to start.

Highly enjoyable and flowy V0. Was surprised with how fun it was.

Definitely not as fun as Shoot the Moon but it's alright.

Still nursing a sprained LCL that made the left heel hook at the start difficult to do. Still feels like a tough move for a V1 even with a healthy LCL though.

Harder than Snakebite. Last move to the jug is committing if you're afraid of the landing, which you know my soft butt was.

Easily my favourite V2, albeit definitely a harder one. Flows really nicely all the way.

Don't let the grade fool you, if slab is not your jam and you're somewhat shorter, this could be a tough one. Froze on the last move nearly 20 feet up because I couldn't reach the last crimp statically. Ended up having to trust my right foot and just go for it.

A bit harder now since the left jug broke. Finding the sneaky holds on the lip before the topout was the crux for me. Power endurance must be good!

Classic V1 flash burn.

No flash because I was soft and shied away from the sharp first pocket. Bad landing also sprained my cousin's ankle! Not worth it without enough and proper pad placement. Otherwise decent climb.

Must link-up with the start holds of Sofa King as that's the hardest sequence. Otherwise, you can just stand up on the Sofa King start holds after the traverse sequence and it becomes a V2.

Would be an awesome V2 without the dab boulder behind you. Moves themselves are nice.

Honestly think this could be harder than Sofa King.

More of a V3.

One of my favourite V3 lines in Frank. Love the underclings at the start. Both variations are a ton of fun.

Sharp holds take away from an otherwise ok line.

Awkward.

Strong moves traversing between Central Culo and Culo Arete. Would be 2 stars if Culo Arete weren't such an awko taco.

Fun crimp ladder, slightly tricky. Instinct is to look for a left foot at about the midway point and up when there isn't really one. Watch the rock behind you on the landing.

I'm soft but the height had me doing my best Elvis impression.

A true one move wonder. Watch the dab on the pads/rock if your feet cut.

Two committing and dynamic moves to the first two holds above the lip if you're shorter. Very frustrating to spend multiple burns and sessions on, especially at the grade, but super satisfying and proud once sent.

I found the start awkward but the four inch pinch hold later on is VERY satisfying to hold haha.

Felt hard at V2. More awkward and arguably more demanding than Shutdown, which flows nicely.

Absolutely not a V2 lol, but a very fun line.

Original and intended line, as per Sendage, is just one or two moves off the start straight up to the lip, which in my opinion is like a V2. There's also an unofficial variation that traverses a few moves right, then heads up to finish at around the same point as Rocksteady (this is how the line reads to me on the 27 Crags picture). More similar in difficulty to Rocksteady, maybe harder.

Slopey toput. Watch out for landing where the small boulder to the left of the line is.

Tricky section a bit over halfway up for newer climbers, be cautious.

Super fun short traverse. Extends into the much harder Here Comes Rooster.

The most versatile outdoor problem I've climbed to date, and a must try for anyone climbing at the grade. It's got a bit of everything: overhang, traverse, (optional) dynamic move, and even a bit of a slab portion. Smooth topout awaits your already pumped out arms.

Super fun moves coming out of the cave. Strong left shoulder and high feet tension are the ticket. Soft for the grade imo, especially when compared to popular V5's like Wild West, Frictionary, Healing, etc., but admittedly much different style than the aforementioned.

Techy V3. Fun and, maybe I'm just a big ol' softie, but I was afraid of rolling down the hill to the right haha.

Super fun moves out of the cave, crux at the lip. Recommend leaving the pinch on the left out, otherwise becomes more of a V3.

Awesome direct line on a beautiful boulder. Fun combination of techy and powerful on good holds. Mind the landing, I fell indirectly on the small boulder on the left and gave myself a pretty gnarly ouchie.

Really fun V1.

Most enjoyable line on the west face of Ninja Turtles, but not any more difficult than the V1's.

Classic V0 flash burn

Super fun with jugs all the way to the lip. Appropriately grades at V3(+). Reminds me of a gym problem.

I actually didn't enjoy this one at all and had more trouble on it than Shutdown lol

Not a fan of this one tbh. Have hopped back on several times after first send to incorporate as part of my warmup, and I still found it awkward and scrunchy at times with multiple different betas.

One of the easiest outdoor boulders I've ever touched! Moderate height and enjoyable enough.

Bad hand placement on the second move resulted in the flash burn and shredded left hand skin.

Most enjoyable line on Culo boulder.

Climbs nicer than Left Arete & Dihedral imo, especially if you avoid the dihedral and just head directly up.

My first outdoor send! Too tall for comfort in hindsight but easy moves on good holds all the way up.

If you just started climbing and haven't had any practice on slab, don't let the grade fool you! Height got the heart rate going.

One of my favourite problems at Big Choss. Cool big first move. Holds seem to get glassier every year though.
