Description

🧗‍♂️ High up on the large hill "Hallandsåsen" lies a dense collection of big boulders with splendidly smooth rock-quality! The climbing here is either imposingly tall or rather low, although there are a few moderate exceptions such as "Vita gäss" and "Vågbrytaren" – both classics. Most of the highballs are serious, intimidating and aesthetically fantastic—especially "Titanic"; an immense overhanging arete, which is the gem of the area and arguably one of the best lines in Sweden! Landings are quite bad for all the highballs and comparatively good for the rest of the climbs (two pads should be enough). The approach however is rather long, but goes through the nice open forest and makes for a calm and quiet atmosphere at the blocs (although it's a rough hike back if you tweak your foot).

The blocs have a rich history consisting of giants as well as "Snapphanar" (bandits from the middle ages), whom took refuge among the boulders in between their heists!
