The rock is limestone and quite sharp and harsh for the skin. There is some crumbly rock but this is mainly due to the lack of traffic. There is potential for quite a few blocs where the main boulder cluster is located (not where the sport crag is) and certainly even more hidden gems scattered further from the parking. Agios Herakleidios has generally been more popular for its decent sport crag but it has more possibilities for its bouldering development. There is a good range of difficulty - currently ranging from VB / 3 to V7 / 7A+
The development of the field has sparked more recently with more people taking interest in having an outdoor climbing area in the capital city of Cyprus.
The climate of this area is usually quite hot in the summer season as it doesn't offer much elevation (404m) but it has some shade from the big pine trees. The best season to climb here is in the winter months, from November to April.
