A small west facing cliff that has a few classic lines. Here you find the famous route Presenten, but the route that draws the most climbers is 'Bästa leden i Välseröd'. Well worth a visit!
The first route on this crag was climbed in the seventies by Christer Åstrand, Kenneth Noökrantz and Ingemar Strandberg. Although "Bästa leden i Välseröd" is not at all located in Välseröd, it is today a classic and well worth a visit in itself.
Other routes on the crag have also attracted climbers with their distinctive characters. Worth mentioning is the thin dihedral "Lobotomised Turkey" which was free climbed by Lars Terjesen and Leif Henriksen in 1997.
The following year, Magnus Strömhäll climbed the infamous off-width "Presenten" and set the grade 6+, which became a talking point for a long time. It has since been upgraded, but also on-sighted by Pete Whittaker.
The area is access sensitive!
The family living in the house opposite the crag have made us aware of the fact that all sounds from the crag can be easily heard from their house. Keep a low profile.
Parking in the bend is no longer accepted. Park earlier, down the road and make sure you’re not in the way! Don’t disturb the cows/bulls in the pasture below the crag.
