❄️🌼🌞🍂
Climbing at "Bärenschlucht" is possible the whole year round. The north facing sectors across the street are perfect for summertime. At springtime the crags can be partial wet, depending on the amount of rain during wintertime.
The south facing sectors of "Bärenschlucht" itself can be climbed even in wintertime if the sun comes out.
💧
The south facing sectors "Bärenschlucht" dries very fast. If there's a little wind going climbing is possible one our after rain. Due to the overhangs the most sections don't even get wet.
💪⚙️
Climbing at this Crag is suitable for all kind of skills. The north facing sectors offers a rougher surface so holds are bigger and climbing gets easier here. The opposite sector of "Bärenschlucht" offers a more flat rock. Steep climbing on small sloping crimps is more common here. So are the grades. Easier classic routes can be find here though but it's straitened to chimneys or cracks preferred.
👶
If you are hosted by the camping ground "Bärenschlucht" the lawn in front of the Sector "Bärenschlucht" is perfect for children. If not, there's enough space though in front of the crag. The whole Sector is accessible with a buggy more or less.
The other sectors across the street are accessible by a hiking path, so it's not very suitable for buggies. But it's not a long walk and the crags are suitable for kids all ages.
🍽🍻🛌
Accommodation you'll find directly at the crag though. But this camping is recommended for party lovers 🙀... just 1 km up the hill towards Weidmannsgesees is a small and remote camping on the left.
Everything else you get at Pottenstein or Gößweinstein.
🏊🎸
In Pottenstein you'll find any sort of activity for resting days.
