Especially for sunny winter days you'll find a lot of worthwhile sectors at this crag. "Amerikanische Botschaft" and "Geißleinwand" are perfectly faced South. All other sectors get sun at afternoon or in the morning, depending on season. So climbing is possible in summer time as well. Best season is autumn.

"Amerikanische Botschaft" and "Geißleinwand" are highly exposed and south facing so these sectors dry within a few hours. "Planetarium" offers steep rainproof overhangs which can get wet after long rain period.
"Wiesentfels" is quite far access to check in doubt. But it's a relativly fast drying sector.

Beside the steep overhangs at "Planetarium" with it's super athletic pocket routes the other sectors are moderate overhanging or vertical with predominantly crimps. Furthermore there are some rare climbs like classic aid climbs at "Aschenbrenner Gedenkwand" or the stunning Flake at "Wiesentturm".

There's no sector that is just perfect for kids. If you've got a sitter the sectors are okay. Best crag for kids is "Plaetarium" but access here's steep and long

Accommodation you'll find in Tüchersfeld, Behringersmühle and Pottenstein. Nice Camp grounds are in Tüchersfeld, Moritz or Allersdorf. Bärenschlucht Camping is close, too.
