No special access issues
Arrival:
If you are coming from Trento or Bolzano you have a common initial destination, a small village called Montagna. From Trento, head to Bolzano and when you reach Egna, you will find also the indications to Montagna. From Bolzano, head to Trento and at the roundabout just before Ora go left inside the tunnel, finding the indications to Montagna.
Exit Montagna and drive for 4.9 km till you get to a large road junction. Go left, heading to Aldino and Bletterbach. Continue on the main road, reach Aldino and go through it. 500 meters after Aldino you will find pizzeria Waldrast on the left. Here there is a small road starting on the right with the indications to Bletterbach. Take it. Now You have to follow this road for other 5 km. Do not take any turns and continue following the Bletterbach signals. You will reach the big car park of the Geo park, where it is possible to leave the car. If it snowed a lot and the road has not been cleaned, you will have to stop about 500 meters before and walk for the remaining part of the road.
Sector:
From the Geo park, head to the evident billboards and the wooden signals. go right, following the indications to Bletterbach Canyon / Gola del Bletterbach. Keep walking through the woods till you enter the canyon (about 15 minutes). You are now in the middle of the canyon, so it is possible to go both right or left, just follow the gps coordinates of your icefall. The path is highly frequented by the other ice climbers, so it is generally clean.
