We like Bowen Beaches

Bowen is a couple hour drive south of townsville. Access is quick and easy, scenic, awesome views of the ocean. Most landings are super average, long falls onto broken rock boulders. Camping in the area is expensive and cabins are a viable option. The rock is super sharp, putting even magnetic island to shame. Good for a day trip now and again, but not for sustained weeks.
