Brentino climbing area is nestled high on the side of a stunning canyon stretching from Mount Baldo to the Adige Valley, a great place to be.
The area boasts over 100 routes, ranging from 5 to 8b+, with most difficulties between 6b and 7a. The rock quality is superb, offering fingery and pumpy climbs on vertical and slightly overhanging faces.
• Vajo Classico is arguably the best sector, featuring slightly overhanging faces with routes that are quite sustained and challenging. Warm-ups are around 6b+/6c, the hardest extend up to 8b+.
• Another excellent sector, Ghigliottina, has compact rock and pumpy lines on slightly overhanging faces, with routes ranging from 6a+/6b+ to 8b.
• Jamaica offers technical lines that start from a ledge, with the easier routes often used as approach lines, ranging from 6c to 8a.
• Arco sector is known for its overhanging lines, with grades from 6a+ to 7a+.
• 4 Stagioni sector, a gray wall, offers a mix of easier and moderately difficult routes, with easier routes around 5+ and harder ones up to 7b+.
• Inverno features gray technical slabs with routes ranging from 5+ to 7b. This is the sunniest sector
The climbing area is mainly south-facing, with the best conditions for the Inverno sector in winter and mid-seasons being ideal for the other sectors. The sun shines during the morning, and some shade comes up in the afternoon due to a mountain in front of the walls. During winter, the shade appears earlier, around midday, especially in the leftmost sectors.
Protections are generally good and safe, though some routes may have more spaced bolts. Approach is quite long (30 minutes), but the trail inside the canyon is really fascinating.
It is important to respect the area by not leaving any trash and preserving the natural environment.
If you want to stay in the area for more time and you love overhangs, don’t miss the incredibly rewarding Ciclopi and Sottocoi sectors.

L’area di Brentino è situata in alto sul fianco di un magnifico canyon che si estende dal Monte Baldo alla Valle dell'Adige, un posto fantastico da visitare.
L'area raggruppa oltre 100 vie, che vanno dal 5 all'8b+, con la maggior parte delle difficoltà comprese tra il 6b e il 7a. La qualità della roccia è eccellente, per ascese tecniche e impegnative su pareti verticali e leggermente strapiombanti.
• Il Vajo Classico è probabilmente il settore migliore, caratterizzato da pareti leggermente strapiombanti con vie piuttosto sostenute e impegnative. Le vie di riscaldamento sono intorno al 6b+/6c, le più difficili arrivano fino all'8b+.
• Un altro settore eccellente, Ghigliottina, presenta roccia compatta e linee su pareti leggermente strapiombanti, con vie che vanno dal 6a+/6b+ all'8b.
• Il settore Jamaica offre linee tecniche che partono da una cengia. Le vie più facili sono utilizzate come avvicinamento. Si va dal 6c all'8a.
• Il settore Arco è conosciuto per le sue linee strapiombanti, con gradi dal 6a+ al 7a+.
• Il settore 4 Stagioni, una parete grigia, offre un mix di vie facili dal 5+ e difficili fino al 7b+.
• Il settore Inverno presenta placche tecniche grigie con vie che variano dal 5+ al 7b. Questo è il settore più soleggiato.
Brentino è principalmente esposto a sud. Per il settore Inverno le condizioni migliori si hanno proprio in inverno, mentre le stagioni intermedie sono ideali per gli altri settori. Il sole splende durante la mattina e un po' di ombra compare nel pomeriggio per via della montagna di fronte alle pareti. Durante l'inverno, l'ombra arriva prima, intorno a mezzogiorno, soprattutto nei settori più a sinistra.
Le protezioni sono generalmente buone e sicure, anche se alcune vie possono avere spit più distanziati.
L'avvicinamento è piuttosto lungo (30 minuti), ma il sentiero all'interno del canyon è davvero affascinante.
È importante rispettare l'area non lasciando rifiuti e preservando l'ambiente circostante.
