The rock is really fun, close to portland and is where I got to try out doing arm/hand/fist jams into cracks and climbing barefoot :)

Broughton Bluff is a unique crag in Lewis and Clark State Park. The short hike up a steep hill leads you to a unique pile of rock, that is similar to a devil's postpile. The adventure climbing that ensues with these routes takes you up cracks filled in with spider webs, plants growing out of the rock, and different kinds of rock. The climbing has bolts, but is mainly a mixed style of climbing, where you need trad gear to make it up some routes safely. A couple pitches will take you to the top of the hill, where you could hike down if you wanted to. Not a favorite, but a fun adventure for sure!
