No special access issues
Central Park is in Khon Kaen Zoo. This crag is on your right, 1.6 km from the front gate. You will see the metal gate (normally openned in 2021) with 'Central Park' sign to the dirt road. High clearance truck is recommended if you want to drive up the dirt road. Boulders are scatter into 3 main zones and some or them are very close to the dirt road.
When you arrive at the front gate of the zoo area, you will be asked to pay an entry fee ฿130 for Thai and 350 for foreigners. Besides bouldering, this fee gives access to all the great amenities the zoo has to offer including restrooms, restaurants, accommodation, campground, water park and the zoo itself of course!
Khon Kaen Climbing Club maintains access to Zoolander bouldering area within the zoo. We all understand that access issues are frequently encountered. We have negotiated with and have a good relationship with our host, the zoo organization. Please don’t undermine all our hard work. So climb safely. Respect your surroundings and also other zoo users.
Climbing here is a privilege, not a right.
