It is slightly ironic that such a monolithic and obvious crag should play host to such a small and intense cave but such is the way of bouldering and this crag certainly packs in the grade! Not for the feint of heart, Elephantitus Cave starts at a burly and intense 7a that can provide levels of warm up just enough to get you fired up for the next hard line on the ticklist.
The approach is equally challenging and not for the typical gym rat! From either end of the lake, the terrain is tricky and unforgiving; much like the climbing you'll encounter once there. It'll be worth it, though, especially on a sunny day when the views match anywhere in North Wales.
King of the Swingers is a relatively recent addition nearer to the campsite with some potential among the nearby blocs for those with a desire for first ascents. Watch this space!
