No special access issues
🚗 Arrival:
The climbing sectors of Ferentillo are scattered throughout the village, divided into three main areas: Ferentillo classica, Gabbio and San Lorenzo. Access to Ferentillo is available from the west via the SP209 road from Terni, or from the north again via SP209 from Spoleto.
• Ferentillo classica.
Leave the main road (SP209) that crosses Ferentillo by following the indications towards Ferentillo (Precetto) / Monterivoso / Castellonalto. Drive for 400 meters and reach the car park by the L’isola sector.
The car park of Lu strittu and Balcone is 300 meters ahead on the left side of the road, just before the narrow passage named “Lu strittu”.
• Gabbio
Starting from the center of Ferentillo by the church, take the road going North direction, Via Campania. After 260 meters, turn left at the junction.
! The road is narrow, be careful with large vehicles !
Follow the narrow road for 1.2 km and reach the small medieval village of Gabbio. Go ahead for a few tens of meters more and park on the right side of the road.
Please do not obstruct the passages and do not park by the fountain since it is located on private ground.
• San Lorenzo
Starting from the center of Ferentillo by the church, go West direction, then turn right (Via Fosso Ancaiano, directions to Ancaiano) just after the bridge. Drive for 350 meters and park on the road sides, close to the junction.
🚶♂️ Sectors:
• Ferentillo classica
L’isola sector is on the back of the L’isola car park. Continue along the evident path to reach sector Le mummie. There is an alternative approach to reach Le mummie, that follows the steps starting behind the inn.
From Il balcone car park, take the steep uphill path starting on the left. When the path becomes flatter there is a deviation on the right leading to Lu strittu, otherwise continue to reach Il balcone.
• Gabbio
In order to reach Gabbio, enter the medieval village and after 50 meters take the path starting on the right. Follow it for about 300 meters and look for a path starting on the left. Take it and reach a metal ladder, then go obliquely to the right for 50 meters to reach the sector.
To reach Curva di Gabbio, go backwards along the main road for 150 meters, reaching the hairpin bend. Here take the path that leads to the sector after about 50 meters.
• San Lorenzo
From the San Lorenzo car park, take the Via di Spoleto road and after 70 meters leave it by taking the path on the left. In the first part there are some fixed ropes. When the fixed ropes end, there is a junction. Go right and after few meters left to reach Torre Bianca, while go left to reach in order San Lorenzo first sector, Masso and San Lorenzo second sector.
After the first sector there is another junction, left for Masso, while right on the steep part for the second sector.
