Filipov kuk is a new, interesting and easily approachable crag ideal for a family outing. It is located near a small lake along an old Austrian-Hungarian road from the 18th century. The rock is mostly very good and the routes are very well equipped. Because of its location (1000 meters above sea level) and its orientation, this is one of the very few crags near the coast which offers good climbing conditions even during Summer (the crag is in the shade after 2 p.m.).
Note: There is a small bouldering area in Baške Oštarije located in a very pretty surrounding. You can get the topos at the Velebit campsite.
Accommodation: Velebit campground in Baške Oštarije (www.kampvelebit.com). Vila Velebita hut.
