On this crag climbing at Geckofels and the left part of Freudenhaus is prohibited from 1.January until 15. of July because of breeding birds. Rest is open all year until there are no signs at the wall.

Please don't park in Aalkorb, residents have been annoyed time by time. Further complaints may cause closure.

Approaching A70: Leave motorway towards Hollfeld, continue the road towards Beringersmühle. Just after Plankenfels you turn right and immediatly left. Parking on the right. Approaching from A9: Leave Motorway towards Waischenfeld and follow the signs to Hollfeld. About 2 km after Nankendorf park left. Approaching from A73: Leave Motorway towards Forchheim, follow the signs in direction of Ebermannstadt, Beringersmühle. Follow the Wiesenttal until you pass Nankendorf, about 2 km further ahead park on the left.
Leave the car on the parking just before the crossroad if you drive from Nankendorf to Plankenfels.

Follow the road by food towards north over the bridge, turn left and then turn left again so you reach the opposite riverside. Follow the river, after 300 m you'll see the first sector Frankenstüble up on the hill. There are small footpaths to each sector. Go ahead on the dirt road and you will pass each sector within visual range. Certain Footpaths leading to the sectors are quite obvious.
