🚶♂️ 5' - ⛰️ 190 MSL - 🧭 E / SE - ☀️ during the morning
Gaium is a recent sector located at the tail of the Ceraino gorge. It is a quiet and peaceful place, close to the river and a nice farmhouse, that is the owner of the field.
The approach is short and easy and routes range from 4 to 7c. It turns out to be a good destination for both beginners and more advanced climbers.
Climbing is generally quite technical in the first half of the wall, then more athletic on the steeper upper section of rock.
The main wall has an East exposition so the sun shines in the morning. On the new sector the sun lasts more. Best seasons to climb here are Spring and Autumn, even if some Summer evenings are still enjoyable.
The area is highly frequented and had good success in the past years.
We suggest wearing a helmet while moving at the base, since the routes are still quite new and some small pieces of rock could fall.
The crag is located on the private property of the farmhouse, so please have maximum respect for this place.
This sector is close to lake Garda and other great crags such as Garda, Forte San Marco and Ceraino. In addition to the climbing, there are nice attractions and good restaurants in the nearby cities, the lake is very close and there are also some thermal spas. Consider taking a boat trip on the lake to fully enjoy your vacation!
