The area is access sensitive!
Governor Stable is a privately-owned nature preserve in Northwest Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Scattered along a wooded gully are several clusters of high-quality boulders. No other bouldering area in the region has so many boulder problems in such a concentrated area. Of particular note are the numerous high-quality moderate problems.
The best way to access the boulders is to become a member of Friends of Governor Stable. We lease the property for open access to members from January 1 to August 31. During the rest of the year, the landowners actively hunt the property, and all other access is forbidden.
Governor Stable is open to members from January 1 to August 31, 2011-2013. Day passes are available on open climbing days only and occasional special events.
All minors must have their waiver signed by their parent or guardian. If a minor arrives at the boulders without a signed waiver, he or she will be asked to leave.
