Risco de Guaria is located within the Protected Natural Area of La Montaña de Tejina. In article 19 of the conservation policy, climbing is considered an Authorized Use. However, prior permission is required to climb and is granted through an automated process on the web portal of the Council of Tenerife (www.centralreservas.tenerife.es).
Climbing in this area has always been compatible with conservation. A protected and growing species, the Tagorote Falcon (Falco Pelegrinoides) nests in the climbing walls. During nesting season (February-June) do not go past the pine located at the end of the sector Tralla. And, if you observe that the falcon has nested before this tree, do not climb the routes of that sector.
From highway TF-1, take exit to “Tejina de Isora – Piedra Hincada” (km 88) and go in the direction of Tejina de Isora until you arrive at TF-82. Turn left towards Guía de Isora. After the tunnel, take the turn to the right towards “Acojeja.” Once in Acojeja, you will find, on the right side, a wide parking área. Leave the car there and walk up El Chorro Street for about five minutes. Before arrive at the last house, there is a small trail on the right side that will take you to the climbing walls in 15 minutes (sign "Fuente de Guaria).
