Jävre högberget offers some great bouldering and a really nice place to take family and friends to enjoy the great view from the mountain top, or explore and read about the historical archaeological findings in the area. It also offers a fireplace with firewood usually at disposal at the top. (Toppen)
The rocks is for the most part water polished granite with somewhat grainy or crystal features depending on the area.
Jävre Högberget was first developed for a outdoor competition called "NBM 2005" and was developed by Mats Nordlund, Magnus Eriksson Brändström, Per Lundberg, Mats Persson and Marcus Lagerqvist for the competition. Originally 66 boulder problems were established. Later around 10 problems were added. In 2024 Andreas Aspvik from Piteå Klätterklubb continued to establish new sectors and boulder problems and make it a high qaulity premium crag accessable without a guide book. The crag has now reached a impressive size with plenty more potential still.
