Driving - From Fayetteville, turn right onto US-19N and cross the NRG bridge. Take the second left after the bridge onto Ames Heights Road. Drive about a half mile, then make a left (Opossum Creek Road is on your right. The left is unnamed, but is actually Burma Road). This road takes you to the AAC Campground and Junkyard Crag. Just after the AAC Campground parking lot there is another small parking lot on your left. Park here (if there's no room, turn around and park in the AAC overflow lot).

Hiking - Walk further down the road to the funky switchback. Go straight to the farthest section of the switchback, and you'll see the Junkyard Trail signs. Follow the sign on your left down the steps and along the base of the crag until you find the obvious cave. Beyond the cave, the roped climbs continue. Follow the faint cliff-base trail until it splits. The right hand trail follows close to the cliff line, but the left hand trail dips down to go around some boulders. Follow the left trail to the roof lines in this guide. The trail from the road is fairly well maintained but has elevation change. The very end of the trail is flat but uneven, doe to being less well traveled. Total hiking time 10 minutes.
