Climbing site is located in the canyon of the river Čikola, in the immediate vicinity of the National Park Krka. Exploration of the climbing potential of this gorgeous wild canyon has just begun, but it is already clear that the potential is tremendous - so it is sometimes called Croatian Chulilla...
The site is easily accessible. Rock faces are exposed to the south, therefore suitable for winter climbing. There is also a newfound summer sector on the opposite side of the canyon.
The rock faces are wide enough and their heights reach up to 80 meters. The climbing site was equipped within the EU project that aimed to establish a recreational zone in the area; therefore the approach trails and viewpoints are nicely prepared and climbing routes are well bolted and appropriate for beginners and recreational climbers. Nevertheless, harder routes are not missing. Most faces are slabs and verticals but mild overhangs are also present. Routes are long, some up to 50 meters; therefore a longer rope is recommended. However, if lacking a long rope, short ropes will do too because all longer routes have mid anchors.
In the summer sectors you can find a nice routes with tufas, and some bigger overhangs.
⛺ Accomodation: Many guesthouses in the surroundings of the National Park. Closest camp sites are in Lozovac (Camp Krka: http://www.camp-krka.hr/, Camp Marina: http://www.camp-marina.hr/).
