🌲Karhuvuori is an easy accessible boulder sector in southern part of Karhuvuori district in Kotka, Finland.
🚶♂️🚍🚙🅿️🛒 ACCESS/APPROACH
Free parking close to the crag. Approach to the crag is only 50-400m from the parking places. Closest restaurants and grocery store can be found from Karhuvuori shoppping center, about 600m north from the crag.
🌄 BOULDERS/SECTORS:
The crag consists of multiple glacial erratics. The biggest boulder 'Yläpallo' is about 10 meters wide and 7 meters high and provides some true highball bouldering. The area has lot to offer, more routes will be opened in coming years.
The crags are beginner-friendly (except Yläpallo) and routes are currently pretty easy on grades 4-6.
⚠️ 'Yläpallo' boulder is really high +7m and therefore dangerous. Be careful and bring multiple pads and a spotter. Consider top rope to ensure safeness.
