Good place for beginners to intermediate. The bouldermarkes are not checked ,but give you a good guidance to find them. Many slab to vertical problems all in the normal bouldering height. Must dos: "Päällikkö" and "Päivänsäde & Menninkäinen" the later being Hämmeenlinna´s first confirmed 7a boulder, wich you can find opposite to Ö-Limit, hidden just beyond the forest line. Many lines are made over 10years ago so bring your brush just in case.
First "bouldering area" of Hämeenlinna. Sami Haarahiltunen was searching for the first good area to develope and boulder, and stumbeld across these boulders. It was happy times and the small bunch of local enthusiasts had fun quite a while establishing the place. Occasionally M.Silander paid a visit and sauna was warmed up to talk about the difficulty of the problems and to calibrate them accordingly. Fun times! The place holds all so the very first confirmed 7a boulder of the region. And its guite proud line. A must tick to every local boulderer operating on sevens, for understand and live history. And btw. When Sami found these blocks, one day he found and old steelbrush in rust, so somebody was already here doin something.. that riddle has not been solved but we have our doubts pointing to Åbo city.
