  • A sit start transforms an otherwise ordinary line into something quite good. Widely regarded as one of the best of its grade in the area, though many find it soft for 6A+ and closer to 6A. Whatever the grade, it’s a quality problem well worth doing.
  • The stand start to Hobgoblin, beginning in the crack. Straightforward moves lead to the same finish as the sit start. Generally considered soft for the grade but still a satisfying line.
  • The large flake once used as a foothold at the start has broken off, making the opening moves harder. The grade may warrant an increase by one or two notches.
