A twelve to fifteen meters high and 75 meters wide crag beautifully situated by a nice little beach opposite Fjäderholmarna and with a fantastic view from the top.
The angle is below vertical and the rock quality on this water-polished crag is excellent, although slippery on some of the routes. Gym-trained overhang experts can run the risk of having a stroke when their feet are constantly slipping on one of the most water-polished attractions. The climbing is generally much more sustained and demanding compared to the less steep routes at Nyckelviksberget. Also, keep in mind that many of the routes are quite sparsely protected, and that also includes some of the bolted routes. Many routes are mixed, but some are protected exclusively with bolts. New bolts replaced older bolts and pitons in 2009. The closeness to Stockholm and generous parking opportunities just two minutes walk from the crag make this rock a great alternative on any day.
If you want to top-rope it's easy to walk around to the top. Almost all anchors are also easily accessible from above and are in good condition.
Some hangers are painted to blend into the rock. Some extra anchors have also been added (2009 and 2022). Please note that the crag is located within a nature reserve.
Although the path down to the crag is a bit downhill, It should work well to bring children here, especially if you want to combine climbing with swimming.
Environment:
Southwest. There are quite many trees in front of the wall that give shade to different parts. The routes at the far left over the water are fully open to the sun.
