Land of the Giants!
Granit bouldering at Winklen in the Ötztal valley. About 30 minutes from Imst.
Situated at 1260m in a forest. The approach from the parking space is about 10 to 15 minutes, gaining about 60m in altitude. Easy going on a good trail.

In 2012, Toby Saxton and Manu Ladner discovered the bouldering potential within the forest around Winklen. After finding many different sectors, they set to work, cleaning and climbing and having fun.
The Land of the Giants is situated in the Tirolen Ötztal valley. The blocks were once part of a mountain, until a massive landslide washed them down the valley and onto the other side, including Niederthai. Slowly, the river carved its way through the rubble, and eventually people settled on the valley floor.
The approach for the parking space is about 10 to 15 minutes, gaining about 60m in altitude.
