Quite a nice slightly overhanging smaller crag with ten well-bolted "easier" routes. This crag is up to 15 meters high and around 50 meters long and is located only 300 meters north of Vårdberget.
This crag is worth a visit and almost all routes are modernly bolted, which is great if you want to lead easier and slightly steeper routes and climb near your limit. Quite nice holds, but the rock is slightly broken/brittle and not as solid as the ordinary Vårdberget, but generally quite ok.
If you want to rig a top rope from above, it is a bit tricky to get around and you usually need to rappel down to reach the anchor. There are several extra anchors scattered above the anchors, that you can use. Overall, all routes are quite nice, so take the star markings with a pinch of salt.
Lilla Vårdberget is almost south-facing and located in sloping terrain behind some leafy trees. It's a warm crag in spring before the leaves strike out, but in summer it might get very hot higher up, above the shade from the trees.
The crag is very peacefully located in the woods and from the top you have a wonderful view over Himmerfjärden (archipelago) just 100 meters away.
It may work well to bring children here, but you have to keep a little watch so that they do not run out over the ledge located some distance up and a few meters out of the cliff.
