Nestled within the Limarò area, a peaceful gorge carved by the flow of a Sarca river, lies an array of captivating climbing sectors.
From challenging sport routes to entertaining multi-pitches, each sector offers its own unique charm amidst the breathtaking natural beauty of the surroundings. The Limarò gorge has diverse climbing opportunities and offers a refuge from the sweltering summer heat.
Let’s dive now into the sectors descriptions:
• Parete del Limarò dominates the Limarò gorge, offering a huge amount of beautiful multi-pitches of any difficulty. Historic dihedrals to slabs and vertiginous overhangs, the huge offer is characterized by reliable equipment and good belays. The best easy routes of the wall are Orizzonti dolomitici and Amazzonia.
• Parete Crispino groups a few interesting multi-pitches, starting from the sides of the river and climbing up along the gorge. During the Summer, the wall is shaded in the morning and we suggest to get here at 9, leave a couple of beers in the river and then get them to celebrate the climb. Some pitches are challenging and to best enjoy them you should be comfortable with 7a grade.
• Limarock is one of the freshest crags in the climbing scene near Arco. Situated amidst the Limarò gorge, adjacent to a bicycle lane, accessing this crag is very easy and the base is comfortable. The crag offers 14 routes from 6b to 8a and there are also some projects. The wall is mainly vertical with some overhanging parts, but always on crimpers and some cracks. All the equipment is good. Embrace the cool refuge of Limarock amid the scorching summer of the Sarca valley.
• Maso Limarò unveils a labyrinth of huge boulders awaiting exploration. A brief approach leads to 34 routes on gray limestone, spanning from the fifth grade to 7b+. Among them, a short 8c challenge and several projects await ambitious climbers. With its family-friendly atmosphere and comfortable base, Maso Limarò offers an ideal setting for a day of climbing adventure. Don't miss the opportunity to relax at the nearby bar/restaurant after the climbing day.
• Pilastro Frollo is a colossal rock pillar standing near the parking area. Home to a series of multi-pitch routes, this recently bolted area offers a test of skill and endurance. The wall has a north-facing orientation, ensuring favorable conditions even in the heat of summer.

Sparsi nell'area del Limarò, una gola scavata dal flusso del fiume Sarca, si possono trovare una serie di affascinanti settori di arrampicata.
Da vie sportive impegnative a divertenti vie multipitch, ogni settore ha un fascino unico in mezzo alla straordinaria bellezza naturale della gola. Limarò offre diverse opportunità di arrampicata ed è un rifugio dal caldo estivo della valle del Sarca.
Soffermiamoci sulla descrizione dei settori:
• La Parete del Limarò domina la gola, offrendo una vasta gamma di bellissime vie multipitch di qualsiasi difficoltà. Dai diedri storici, alle placche e ai vertiginosi strapiombi, la vasta offerta di vie è caratterizzata da protezioni affidabili. Le vie facili più consigliate sono Orizzonti dolomitici e Amazzonia.
• La Parete Crispino raggruppa alcune interessanti vie multipitch, che partono dai fianchi del fiume e salgono lungo le pareti della gola. Durante l'estate, la parete è ombreggiata al mattino e suggeriamo di arrivare qui alle 9, lasciare un paio di birre nel fiume per poi bere per festeggiare le salite. Alcune lunghezze sono impegnative e per godere al meglio dell’esperienza è meglio avere una buona padronanza del grado 7a.
• Limarock è uno dei settori più freschi vicino ad Arco. Situato in mezzo alla gola di Limarò, adiacente a una pista ciclabile, l'accesso a questa parete è molto facile e la base è confortevole. La parete offre 14 vie dal 6b all'8a e ci sono anche alcuni progetti. La parete è principalmente verticale con alcune parti strapiombanti, ma sempre su piccole prese e alcune fessure. Le protezioni sono buone.
• Il Maso Limarò è caratterizzato da un labirinto di enormi massi. Un breve approccio porta a 34 vie su calcare grigio, che vanno dal quinto grado al 7b+. Tra queste, una di 8c e diversi progetti attendono gli scalatori più ambiziosi. Con un’atmosfera accogliente per le famiglie e una base confortevole, il Maso Limarò offre un ambiente ideale per una piacevole giornata di avventura. Non perdetevi l'opportunità di rilassarvi nel bar/ristorante nelle vicinanze.
• Il Pilastro Frollo è un colossale pilastro di roccia che si erge vicino al parcheggio. Ospita una serie di vie multipitch ed è stato attrezzato recentemente. La parete è esposta a nord e garantisce condizioni favorevoli anche nel caldo dell'estate. Le vie sono un'ottima prova di tecnica e resistenza.
