We like Mula
Dani Ferràndez
Mula has four main sectors. La Presa is the section by the dam, with 30 slab climbing routes across the grades on good rock under the dam, and another 40 on the reservoir shore, many steep with tufas. Sector Ferrari overlooks the motorway and has almost 60 routes, and it is a fine steep cliff in a very sunny setting with easy access, once you have negotiated the bumpy approach track. There are easier routes on the flanks, and plenty of steep and beefy stuff in the centre. Sectors Abuelo and Perea are a newly developed sectors. The first one have a left-hand section with superb jug pulling on conglomerate pockets. An exceptionally good venue which has proved to be one of the most popular in the Murcia area. The second one includes superb and very steep test-pieces in high grades.
Lots of sun except at the reservoir shore area, the only one suitable at summer months.
