Myklebostad

Russvika is located on the island of Tjeldøya in northern Nordland. The boulder field is just past Myklebostad on the south side of the island. This is a scenic area with a coral beach at the road's end and magnificent views towards Vestfjorden. If you are in the area, it is definetly worth a stop for a couple of days.

There are 2 sectors which have been developped. The main sector is on the hillside covered by pine trees while the kultur sector is on the opposite side of the road, on the open hill top and partly south of it between trees

Einar Nilsen and Marit S. Bratrud started developing the main sector in 2006. Håvard Jendem, Marius Morstad, Sondre Marusson and Frodi Sobhi also contributed to the early development. The kultur sector started to be developed in 2008. A first guide book of the area discribed around 80 ungraded problems. Since then many additional lines were cleaned and climbed.
