From Massouri take the road to Emborios. After Skalia take the right turn to Palionisos and follow this steep road with switchbacks around until it drops down onto the flat bit on the other side of the island. You will see the distinctive red wall on the hillside. Go past the parking for Sikati Cave to the clearing by the side of the road for the Secret Garden. Park here and take the start of the wide path heading towards the Secret Garden (donʼt turn right too soon) then take the path across the scrubland (the start is marked with a cairn) around to the tree then on to the base of the crag.
