Mountain Perun rises above the village Podstrana near Split. Mountain got the name after the old Slavic god who was the supreme deity in the Pantheon of Slavic gods and the God of Thunder.
The climbing site is located almost at the very top of the mountain. It was equipped recently with help of the local Touristic Board and by members of the local Mountaineering club “Perun” from Podstrana. Routes are equipped perfectly, and the rock is of supreme quality. Routes are mostly slabs and vertical grey plates with small holds. But one can find also some red overhangs with tufas (sector Kafić). Due to the south orientation of the rock face, this crag is most recommended for climbing in winter. The environment around the crag and the view over Split are beautiful.
