This topo covers the two small sectors at the entrance of the Daone Valley, Plaz and Occhio d’aquila.
Plaz is entirely located in the riverbed, under the arches of a bridge. The environment is very characteristic, and some boulders are truly interesting. There are more than 20 lines, with difficulties ranging from 5C to 7B, on granite rock smoothed by water.
Although it is the sector with the lowest altitude in the valley (850 meters above sea level), the area always remains quite cool thanks to the presence of the river. The boulder "Spiaggia" is only practicable a few times a year when the water level is low.
The Occhio d’aquila sector is the result of a small landslide and is located in a not particularly dense forest. The peculiarity of this sector is the rock, different from the other sectors of Daone, namely a reddish conglomerate. There are about twenty lines here, with difficulties ranging from 5C to 8A. The base is comfortable under some blocks, steeper under others.
Parking to reach these sectors is rather limited. Instead of obstructing the passage of other vehicles, we recommend choosing a convenient parking spot and walking a few extra minutes.

Questa relazione raggruppa i due piccoli settori all’imbocco della Valle di Daone, Plaz e Occhio d’aquila.
Plaz si trova interamente nel letto del fiume, sotto le arcate di un ponte. L’ambiente è molto caratteristico e alcuni blocchi sono davvero interessanti. Ci sono più di 20 linee, con difficoltà dal 5C al 7B, su una roccia di granito molto levigata dall’acqua.
Sebbene sia il settore con l’altezza minima della valle (850 metri sul livello del mare), la zona risulta sempre piuttosto fresca grazie alla presenza del fiume. Il boulder “Spiaggia” risulta praticabile solo poche volte l’anno, quando il livello dell’acqua è basso.
Il settore Occhio d’aquila è il risultato di una piccola frana e si trova in un bosco non particolarmente fitto. La particolarità di questo settore è la roccia, diversa dagli altri settori di Daone, ossia un conglomerato rossiccio. Anche qui ci sono una ventina di linee e le difficoltà si variano tra il 5C e l’8A. La base è comoda sotto alcuni blocchi, più scoscesa sotto altri.
I parcheggi per raggiungere questi settori sono piuttosto limitati. Piuttosto di ostacolare il passaggio degli altri veicoli, consigliamo di scegliere un parcheggio comodo e camminare qualche minuto in più.
