Plus

Plus Crag is one of the newest climbing areas set up in Bicaz Gorges (Cheile Bicazului). The set-up began in July 2019 and it is still going. The crag comprises of three sectors, one main and two secondary (Pe Brână și La Surplombă). The rock is made of limestone and most of the routes are for intermediate and advanced levels. Most routes only get wet after heavy rains. The crag is recommended for the warm season, even the months of July-August. It is a shaded area due to the tall trees and during the summer the sun hits the wall around 17:00 and retreats around 19:00.
Traces of wild animals have been found in the area so it is recommended to make noise from time to time. The mobile signal is 5 minutes up the path from the climbing area. You cand see a path, to the left of the crag, leading up the mountain, reaching to a clearing.
There is no drinking water source nearby. The access path to the crag is marked with cairns on the side of the road DN12C and partly on the route.
