Sokolie (Priedhorie)

Climbing has been limited!

Due to bird protection climbing is permitted from 1.7. to 31.12.!

The easiest approach is from the village of Zliechov (depending on the pace, the approach takes between 45 min and 1 hour).

It is advisable to find parking at the end of the village of Zliechov, close to the green hiking trail. Continue along the dirt road through meadows featuring a pleasant view of the peak of Strážov. Follow the green hiking trail through the forest until you reach a saddle, where the green trail begins to descend.
It is approximately 2,5km from Zliechov. In the saddle, turn left and away from the tourist hiking trail and head towards the ridge and towards the peak of Sokolie.
After about 30-50m, find a forest path heading to the right under the ridge and continue under the rocks for another 10-15 minutes.
The first sector is called Boží trón (the Godś Throne). Other sectors are accessible through footpaths under the walls.

Another possibility of approach: The crags of Sokolie are also directly accessible from the village of Priedhorie from the sectors Kopyto, or alternatively K60. From the car, the transfer will take at least 1h 15 to 1h 45, depending on the pace and knowledge of the terrain. For the detail see the crag called PRIEDHORIE and the approach to its sectors.

From sector K60 of Priedhorie continue following the green hiking trail to the Červíková chata (cottage). At this point, turn right into the valley next to the stream. After about 500m go steeply up the hill to the right. The footpath is hardly visible, it is mistaken for animal footpaths. However, if you keep going up, the rocks in the forest will start to shine through.
This is how you get to the lower sectors of Podsvetná priepasť (the Underworld Abyss) or Nekonečný vesmír (the Infinite Universe).
