Description

📍A small beachside cliff with quality crack lines in Grimstad, Norway.

🧗Mostly slab and vertical climbing on Grimstadgranitt, a redish granite with large crystals. Surprisingly good quality for this type of rock. Most lines follow cracks and are traditional, some mix. Some sport routes in between. Heights up to 20-25m and grades from 5 to 7b+, mostly around 6a-6c.
🥾 The anchors are easily accessible from the top. Walk around or scramble up between sector Left and Right. Rappell from trees down to the anchors.
🍼 Tarzandiederet on the lefthand side is suitable for kids with a little experience. Otherwise the routes are perhaps a bit too technical for kids and inexperienced climbers. However, with easy toprope access it is simple enough to try!

☀️🌳💧 The crag is in the sun most of the day, but trees provide some shade. Best in spring and early to late fall. Usually too wet mid-winter. Dries relatively quick after rain, however Skyggedans constantly suffers from seepage.

🚗🚶15 min drive from Grimstad, 20 min from Arendal. From the parking, follow the gravel path down to the beach. The wall is on the righthand side. Approach time 2 min.

🏖️ Super beachside location. Toilet and grilling nearby. Enjoy!

⚠️ Respect locals and other tourists. No camping.
ℹ️ 03.2023: Hyle meg hes, Atomskrekk and Høyspenning are noe rebolted..
