❄️🌼🌞🍂
Great crag for the whole year. On sunny winter days you can get perfect conditions at "Richard Wagner Fels". All other sectors are more shady and good for summer.
💧
Due to the mainly vertical climbing there is no 100 percent rain proof sector. Depending on the wind direction you might get lucky at "Richard Wagner Fels". This one dries fast though after rain. All other sectors, especially "Wolfsberger Wand", "Reichelsmühler Wand" and "Zauberberg" needs several days to dry off.
💪⚙️
Most routes offer vertical climbing on pockets and sloping crimps. The west facing overhanging section of "Richard Wagner Fels" offers three ultimate classics in higher grades. At "Hartelstein" and "Wolfsberger Wand" the distance between the bolts gets bigger. And the easier routes requires some trad protection.
👶
Best kids suitable sector is "Reichelsmühler Wand". All other sectors have steep base. "Hartelstein" is an option due to its super short access ..if your kid/s stay/s at the car.
🍽🍻🛌🏊🎸
The place to be is Camping Eichler in "Untertrubach" ..not only for accommodation. In "Obertrubach" you can find good restaurants and cafes. For bigger shopping go to "Plech", next to the motorway there are a few shopping facilities.
On rainy days visit the grave of one and only "Wolfgang Güllich" at the cemetery in "Obertrubach", or go to Rockstore in "Betzenstein" to restock your climbing equipment. They have an unique gym as well. Must go.
