No special access issues
🚗 Arrival:
Coming from the motorway, exit at Ivrea (TO) and take the SS 565 towards Castellamonte and then the SS 460. Head initially to Cuorgnè and go over it. Now the way to Valle dell’Orco is still long but really simple. You only have to keep driving along the SS 460 till you reach the lake of Ceresole (about 38 km from Cuorgnè), 1 km before the village of Ceresole Reale.
Reach the lake, drive along the coast and reach its end. At the end of the lake, turn left then continue till you get to refuge “Rifugio Massimo Mila” which names this area. Keep driving straight, cross the bridge over Orco river and reach the electrical plant. Turn left and leave your car on the left side of the road after a few tens of meters.
🚶♂️ Boulder areas:
The first sector, Tesla, is really close to the car park. Just cross the road and enter the woods to find the first boulders.
Next sector is Barcaiolo, which is easily reachable by following the main road for 200 meters. You will find all the boulders on the right side of the road.
Finally, sector Gozerland is about 1km further South of Barcaiolo. The approach is still easy, since you only have to follow the main road until you reach the houses and the trail towards refuge Leonesi. It is also possible to park in this area, to shorten the approach, but please do not obstruct the road.
