Description

This crag consists of a few sectors in the valley of the Lesse.

The most known one is La Nausée, which is also the biggest.
Nausée has a lot to offer in the 7th grade, up to 8a. Some of Belgium finest technical test pieces can be found here, so go have a look.

Rocher du canal is probably the second most worthy sector. The porche has something to offer, but the best routes are a bit further. Almost 10 beautiful routes in the 6th grade can be found here, most of which are new additions from 2020-2021!

3rd, there is "Copères", worth a visit to check what they used to climb back in 1932! Yep, that's right!

The crag is property of the city of Dinant and managed by the CAB.

📚 A paper guidebook is available from the CAB webshop (https://www.clubalpin.be/shop) or by KBF.

History

The first route in Copères was opened as early as 1932, can you believe that?!

To go to the sector "Copères", you are not allowed to follow the good track right of the "canal" which is private property. You follow the small path on the other side of the canal as to access "le rocher du Canal". At the end of this sector, some iron steps are placed that you follow up then the path going down and back to the canalside (steps). Continue along the canal to the Copères.
