Sagberg

🌲: Sagberg is an outdoor recreation area that contains a nice hiking trail oven and around a big hill. At the top there is a hut with a barbecue area. The area around the mountain consists of rock formations such as low cliffs, caves and freestanding boulders.

🪨: The area on and around the hill offers a some nice bouldering in grades from 3-7c+ so far but have a lot of potential for plenty of more problems to de discovered.
The quality of the rock varies, since it Hälsingland and the rock type is granite it can be a bit chossy. But on some of the blocks on the other hand the quality so super good and smooth.

🛑: Keep the place clean
🛑: Do not brush new boulders or in other ways violate the forest biotope protection area on the west side of the hill.

📜: One of the most fascinating aspects of Sagberg is its rich history and local legends. One of the most famous legends is about Tjuv-Jon, a man who was forced to flee his home in Tönnbro because of his thefts. According to legend, Tjuv-Jon hid a treasure in a cave that was formed by a crack in the rock.
Now the area has become a nice outdoor recreation area with a beautiful hiking trail and a hut on the top. The bouldering in the area started when Teemu Miettinen visited the area in 2022 and made the first ascent of 2 beautiful hard lines. Since then Team Skorven has been visiting and continuing to develop the area further.
