Like in other areas of hampi you climb on granite. You can find both rock qualitiys here, at the top of the hills there is mostly orange crimpy rock and at the bottom sloopy withe one.
If you climb in the early season it could be necessary that you cut some bushes to get to overgrown boulders.
Since the demolution happened in hampi in 2020 all the guesthouses vanished in hampi island. The famous Goan Corner moved to Sangapur and reopened in december 2022. Since then climbers found some good quality rock in the close sourrunding.
Many boulders have not seen a second ascent or are still a project. There is a lot of potential for new lines, keep on exploring and developing this new area.
