most routes are vertical and come with sloping crimps and crack lines. Here you might need more a good technique than raw power. especially "Schlehenmühler Wand" offers unique structures. It's a pity that the first meters of the right routes are totally destroyed.

best season is autumn. In wintertime you can get sun through the beeches. In summer time the beeches keep it shady.

none of the sectors are rain proof and stay wet for quite a long time. Best chances after rain you might have at "Heidelberg" but the long approach does other crags more worth to try.

Next Camping is "Oma Eichler". From "Egglofstein" follow the river eastwards towards "Obertrubach" for 3.6 km and you'll find it to your right.. Further accommodations are located in any village around. In Egglofstein you get good cace and coffee. For bigger shopping go to "Ebermannstadt", few km north. good beer garden is in "Thuisbrunn", check out "elch-bräu"
