Description

Family friendly limestone crag with easier to moderatly difficult and mostly slabby routes. It is one of the best developed crags of Tyrol, with bathrooms, a fountain with running drinking water (stone at chill area), a slackline and a few really nice benches. This Recreational area is found to the right of Löschzwerg about 1 minute walking form the parking lot.

❗️HELMETS ARE A MUST❗️ Rockfalls are common

☀️It is very sunny although Dschungelcamp and parts of löschzwerg do offer some shade.

🚶To get to Dschungelcamp takes 8 minutes and ist mostly flat, just towards the end you have to go right into the forest, to the right side of a concrete wall.
Grosse Platte can be reached by walking past the sector Löschzwerg or by walking towards Dschungelcamp an then turning right uphill a bit earlier, there is a yellow sign indicating the path. It takes around 5 minutes to reach.
Löschzwerg is right above the parking lot just head up the path at the end of the parking area. It takes 2 minutes to reach. You will also see the picknick area here.
The sector Chill area is located to the right of Löschzwerg there is a narrow path leading to it. it takes around 5 minutes to reach

History

The Crag Sonnenplatten was completely renewed in 2019 by Heinz Zak and the sector Dschungelcamp was added. This was accomplished with the help of the municipality Scharnitz as well the Tourist office of Seefeld, Tyrol. At that time the new chill area and bathrooms were added.
