Description
Stenarna is an easy to access crag close to the city center which is free of snow "early" in spring. A good range of different grades provide problems for every skill level.
The problems in the huvudsektor and at the SID stone have rather sharp and condition-dependent holds, so Stenarna is most enjoyable in spring and autumn.
The style of climbing is mostly crimp-focused and there are a bunch of great problems in that style. "Lepra" is a real old-school classic, while "Better than art" has intricate body positions with many different beta options. If you feel particularly strong and the conditions are crisp, don't miss the new test piece "Turtle General", which offers powerful and interesting moves all the way from start to finish.
