Rock fall and cliffs
The regions geography has been notably shaped by the late ice age. Many of these mountains emerged as the ice melted and the pressure from the massive ice sheets was relieved, leaving sheer granite rock faces, carved and worn by erosion. You can clearly see the effects as smooth, curvy features. Some of the surface rocks broke free and now lie in a boulder boneyard at the base of the mountain. This means that the boulders share the same desirable quality of the mother mountain.
