🚶♂️ 17' - ⛰️ 870 MSL - 🧭 SE - ☀️ morning till late afternoon
Sunny place, as the name suggests, is a great sunny crag above the small village of Stenico.
The crag has a huge dihedral in the middle which splits a vertical wall on the left from an overhanging one on the right. The rock is a good compact limestone. There are technical slab and overhangs with small pockets and tufas.
Sunny place's difficulty range is quite wide, having routes from 5 to 8a. Everyone will enjoy the climbing here.
Since the area gets a lot of sun, the best seasons are Autumn and Spring. Winter could be too cold since the crag base is nested in the woods and the altitude reaches almost 900 meters above sea level.
All the routes have been re-bolted recently and the crag base is comfortable.
The path that leads to the crag is really nice, having many wooden sculptures on the sides. We suggest exploring it entirely.
And do not miss a quick visit to the waterfall of Rio Bianco and the botanical center that are really close to the Stenico village.
