This sector should be on every bodies list while visiting Leonidio and Kyparissi. Especially plaisir climbers, beginner courses and climbing school groups will get the most out of hear. Very, very beginner friendly bolting, plenty of easy and very easy lines and the top sea cliff location will make your day an unforgettable memory. The sector has especially high rock quality. Mainly crimps and pockets are to be found here but the outstanding heavily featured tufas are definitely the highlight to climb on.
Even tough the climbing is beginner orientated the approach requires some basic knowledge of abseiling, risk assessment and you should feel comfortable belaying on a narrow ledge. Big down point of the sector is the use of 10mm A4 inox expansion bolts which according to UIAA bolting guidelines is not recommended for close to the sea environments.
Description
History
This and sector Balogeri, close to Vlychada beach, were added in 2019 by the ClimbKyparissi guys for a small climbing meeting held the same year. The approach, more precisely, metal steps and fixed ropes needed to be maintained by local and traveling climbers due to its poor nature and state.
