Ugrikivi

Ugrikivi is a nicely formed boulder with pretty good rock quality and some nice holds on it. It's got some highish problems and some low stuff as well, and the routes vary from low overhang to highish slabs and vertical routes, so there's something to do for everyone here. And overall quality of the routes is pretty good too!

Height of the problems vary between 2-5 metres and the landings are safe. So there are plenty of problems for beginners and those scared of heights as well.

It's on a partially harvested nice forest. The rock dries relatively quickly. A lot of the routes are hiding from the direct sunshine, making it a good choice for summertime bouldering as well.

Specially recommended routes are:

"Natsiromanssi", one of the highest routes here - really nice!
"Bestiario" and "Kimmostoliitto", both really nice short overhangs!
"Vähäsen Muhkumpi", an easier sibling to Natsiromanssi, nice technical climbing.
"Metsien Kim Kardashian", low but really nice piece of rock.

The boulder was found already by Kimmo years back, but remained untouched until fall -21 when he decided to take another look at it. And that look made him think to himself: "Why isn't this already climbed?".

Soon after Kimmo went there to brush first routes and some overall cleaning to see what does the boulder really got to offer. And the offerings turned out pretty good! After having climbed the first routes, Tatu came along for some more FA's, and most of the routes were climbed during the fall. Tatu started working on the remaining routes on spring -22, and Kimmo joined to finish things with Tatu.
